Perfect Stuffed Cabbage Rolls (Golabki) Best of Comfort Foods!

This is one of my top favorites Fall Go-to Recipes. On a chilly day this is heaven. I make this several times a month during the fall and winter. I thought I would share this yummy recipe with you!

Stuffed Cabbage (Golabki)

3 lb Ground Beef or Ground Turkey

1 Large Head of Cabbage

1 1/2 C Rice (uncooked)

1/2 C Chopped Onion

1 tsp Salt

1 tsp Pepper

1 tbs Garlic

1 can Tomato Paste

2 eggs

Cut into the core of the cabbage so that the leaves come off easier while boiling. You are going to want to put your head of cabbage in a stock pot filled with water. Then turn to high heat.

(Tip: The reason you do not put it in after it is boiling is due to the fact the water would splash out everywhere and could cause a burn.)

Boil your cabbage and when the leaves become soft enough take them out when they are ready to cool on the counter. This will stop the cooking process.

Chop up your onion while you are waiting for your cabbage to cook.

Next get your meat mixture ready. In a large bowl combine Ground Beef, Garlic, Chopped Onion, Salt, Pepper and 2 eggs. Mix together with your hands until combined.

Make sure your stock pot is halfway full of water and the water should be boiling still. Add your tomato paste now.

Now you are ready to stuff your cabbage. In the video I demonstrate the folding process and how to put your toothpick in.

When you have completed your cabbage, gently drop in your cabbage rolls. Simmer for 3-4 hours.
